Leaked PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced tag requirements point to GTA 6 running at 4K 30FPS.

Leaked PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced tag requirements point to GTA 6 running at 4K 30FPS. The requirements for a game to earn the 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' tag indicate that Rockstar will release Grand Theft Auto 6 with 4K 60FPS support on the PS5 Pro. VIEW GALLERY - 2 Tech and Science Editor Published Sep 5, 2026 7:23 AM CDT 1 minute & 15 seconds read time TL;DR: Leaked PS5 Pro Enhanced guidelines suggest games must target 2160p or a stable 60FPS to earn the tag; Rockstar reportedly aims to use the PS5 Pro GPU (and PSSR) to push GTA 6 toward 4K, but CPU limits make a steady 60FPS unlikely-40FPS with higher visual fidelity is considered more realistic. Voice: Jak Connor 0:00 / 2:21 GTA 6 could run at 4K 60FPS on PlayStation 5 Pro, according to Leaked PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced guidelines that suggest developers must target a stable 60FPS frame rate and 2160p resolution. According to the requirements leaked by Moore's Law is Dead, developers must follow these guidelines to receive a PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced tag. However, developers have a choice in direction, as the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag can be awarded to a title that increases its target resolution from its original base PS5 resolution. Furthermore, a PS5 Pro Enhanced tag can be given to a game with a higher maximum resolution target, a higher framerate target, or the addition of new or higher-quality ray-tracing effects. Rockstar is reportedly using the PS5 Pro's improved GPU to push GTA 6 to 4K, likely using the latest version of PSSR. However, achieving a stable 60 FPS on the system's modestly upgraded Zen 2 CPU seems unlikely, with 40 FPS a more realistic performance ceiling, especially if Rockstar is already leaning toward increasing visual fidelity through the addition of further refinements to the implementation of graphical technologies such as ray-traced lighting, textures, shadows, and more. VIEW GALLERY - 2 IMAGES Digital Foundry and other outlets have suggested that CPU limitations in open-world titles like GTA 6 make a 60 FPS mode difficult to maintain, especially if the developer isn't happy making significant graphical concessions. Frequently asked questions. Open a question for an answer from TweakTown's coverage of this news, or ask your own below. Question #1 What does the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag require for resolution and frame rate? The leaked requirements say a game needs to target a stable 60FPS frame rate and 2160p resolution to earn the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag. The guidelines also allow the tag for a higher resolution target, a higher framerate target, or added or improved ray-tracing effects. Question #2 Could GTA 6 get a 60FPS mode on PS5 Pro, or is 40FPS more likely? Question #3 What PS5 Pro hardware limitation could make 60FPS harder in GTA 6? Question #4 Could GTA 6 add ray-traced lighting, shadows, or textures as part of PS5 Pro Enhanced support? Have a question about this content not listed here? Ask below and TweakBot will answer it. As launch approaches in November, the debate amongst the GTA community over performance versus visuals will undoubtedly intensify. But if I were to bet on the outcome, I would say Rockstar will go the increased image-fidelity route, with a possible 40FPS mode and 60FPS on the PS6.

GTA 6 may have just changed video game marketing forever, but not for the better.

GTA 6 may have just changed video game marketing forever, but not for the better. September 3, 2026, 4:14pm In an unprecedented move, Rockstar Games sold Netflix a six-hour exclusivity deal for an extended 28-minute trailer of its upcoming title Grand Theft Auto 6, out November 19th. The footage showcased gameplay, enhanced graphics, various missions, differences in how police respond to wanted levels, and more, which is something the fandom had been pressuring Rockstar to deliver given how close the game was to releasing without showing any substantial footage. Despite GTA 6 suffering from leaks earlier in the month, the Netflix showcase delivered and was a huge success for the streamer, despite the same footage being posted on YouTube later that evening. The trailer hit 31.1 million views on Netflix, was number 1 in 87 of the 93 countries where Netflix is available, and was the most-watched title on the platform the week it debuted. Netflix reported the stats while lauding the move as a "first of its kind" and heralding GTA 6 as the record-holder of the "biggest entertainment launch of all time." It's a good move for Rockstar, which likely got a hefty sum of money from Netflix for the deal and it's great for Netflix to get a piece of "the biggest entertainment launch of all time," despite scaling back its efforts to break into the gaming industry. Most of all, it's a great show of faith to the shareholders who are monetarily invested in the streamer, as well as Rockstar. Although having an exclusivity window on a game's trailer is unprecedented, since this showing for GTA 6 did well, expect gaming's next big moment to be bought out by a streamer with cash as well. What does this mean for the future of trailers? These days, everything is for sale as corporations, conglomerates, and industries at large look to maximize profits, no matter the cost or the optics. Now that Netflix, Rockstar Games, and publisher Take-Two Interactive have opened a door to another revenue stream, don't think for one second the door to trailer exclusivity is going to close any time soon. Publishers and developers won't leave money on the table, and fans have shown, despite the leaks, despite the controversy surrounding the exclusivity alongside GTA 6's $80-$100 price tag and locked content, they will show up to watch the footage regardless and as soon as possible. Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick called initial pre-orders "unprecedented" when they first went up, but after the extended look on Netflix, pre-orders rose 436%, according to tracker Sensor Tower. Although Comicbook can't predict what the next big moment in gaming will be, Comicbook can assume it will follow a similar release and marketing strategy as Rockstar Games. Kingdom Hearts 4, another hotly anticipated title, was just showcased at D23 earlier in August, following the news that the 25-year-old series has become a billion-dollar franchise. It's possible the next time Comicbook see a trailer for the game will be during next year's D23, as Kingdom Hearts 4 isn't set to release until sometime late 2027. However, there won't be a number of profit cuts for an exclusivity deal, since Disney and Square Enix crossover titles would debut at a self-owned event. It's even possible Disney may direct fans over to Disney+ for a time for an exclusive look, hours before it arrives publicly on YouTube. Comicbook wouldn't be surprised if the next 007 game doesn't have a trailer that's first featured on Paramount+ or if Sony uses Crunchyroll to debut exclusive content for one of its upcoming anime games. Dev teams and publishers backed by big entertainment corporations with a dedicated streaming service utilizing this kind of marketing is an easy move to make. But those who are not attached to a parent company with a streaming service will be looking for buyers from big independent streamers like Netflix, not only to get new eyes on their product, but to fatten their pockets and get a promised return from their advertising budgets.

'GTA V's' unfinished building is finally complete in Rockstar Games' upcoming 'nopixel V' release.

'GTA V's' unfinished building is finally complete in Rockstar Games' upcoming 'nopixel V' release. It's an end of an era for 'GTA V.' For over a decade, one building in Los Santos has stood as an unfinished punchline within the "Grand Theft Auto V" community, forever surrounded by scaffolding and never quite completed. That running joke finally reaches its conclusion courtesy of Rockstar Games, though only within a very specific new corner of the game. 'GTA V's unfinished building is now complete. Known in-game as the "Mile High Club," the skyscraper has remained perpetually under construction since it first appeared in "Grand Theft Auto V's" original reveal trailer back in 2011. The building briefly showed up during Cayo Perico Heist prep missions, but always in its unfinished state, never once shown completed across more than a decade of updates. Rockstar confirmed the change through official promotional artwork accompanying its newest announcement, showing the building fully constructed for the first time. As reported by GameRant, the completed structure has been rebranded as the Pixel Hotel, a fitting new name given the context behind its long-overdue finish. Fans reacting online, including accounts like DiscussingFilm and GTA 6 Info, quickly picked up on the moment, framing it as the closing chapter of a running joke that had followed the game since its earliest days. Rockstar Games finishes the Pixel Hotel. The completed building arrives specifically as part of "nopixel V," Rockstar's newly announced, officially sanctioned version of the long-running community roleplay server "nopixel." In its newswire post, Rockstar wrote that "nopixel V" overhauls the roleplay experience with a reworked character customization system, alongside new corners of the city including the brand-new Pixel Hotel & Casino and a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats. Rockstar described the update as bringing refreshed visuals, new ways to make a living on either side of the law, and smarter, more reactive pedestrians throughout Los Santos. Importantly, the finished building will not appear for every "GTA V" player, since the update remains exclusive to those specifically playing on the new "nopixel V" servers, leaving the original base game's version of the skyscraper unfinished as it has always been. What to expect from 'nopixel V' "nopixel V" enters a closed, invite-only beta starting September 8, running on the Rockstar Games Launcher rather than Rockstar's mainline game servers. According to reporting, roughly 439 players have been invited to participate directly, though the broader public will still get to experience the update secondhand by watching invited streamers play through livestreaming platforms once the beta goes live. Rockstar has not confirmed when "nopixel V" might open up beyond this initial closed beta phase, and the original nopixel servers will continue operating alongside the new version, though without access to features exclusive to the officially partnered release. The game development company also indicated further announcements are coming, including a new PC in-game overlay some have speculated could reintroduce text chat functionality into "GTA Online" and other titles. With "Grand Theft Auto VI" still on track for its November 19 release, this nopixel V reveal offers a notable moment of closure for "GTA V," even as Rockstar continues shifting more of its attention toward the next mainline entry in the series.
