Requirements
  • An undergraduate Bachelor's degree, ideally in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related degree; candidates without a Bachelor's degree may substitute an additional 4 years of direct experience for a total of at least 9 years.
  • At least 5 years of direct, relevant experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL, QlikView, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Power-user proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and expertise in visualization tools.
  • Experience setting up maintainable and scalable processes in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and precisely with diverse groups of internal clients.
  • Ability to drive results and deliver on multiple tasks.
  • Experience building, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
  • A proven track record of defining and executing key analyses with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of business analysts to meet or exceed customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Monitor and direct workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing against organizational and contractual requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and train new employees.
  • Interface with internal and external clients and customers by telephone, correspondence, and in person to answer inquiries and resolve concerns.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and gather data to identify process-improvement opportunities across encounter clients.
  • Implement controls to monitor encounter performance.
  • Provide trending and performance data to the departmental management team.
  • Participate in full life-cycle development, including requirements analysis, process development and design, and testing using a software development methodology.
  • Develop and document workflow, system requirements, system impact analyses, system designs, process analyses, and testing, including reasonableness checks, to provide efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Use SQL queries, a data warehouse, and internal databases to prepare user-friendly reports.
  • Participate in initiatives and projects supporting process improvements, new system capabilities, and integration of data or applications into existing systems.
  • Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Director.
  • Direct and oversee reporting and analytics, including development and management of critical reports and general analysis supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Provide information supporting strategic objectives across business operations, finance, quality, compliance, procurement, and clinical functional areas.
  • Work with end users and business leaders to define functional requirements for reporting solutions.
  • Monitor critical metrics and inform leadership of potential risks.
  • Collaborate with other analytics teams to ensure accurate and timely report delivery.
  • Ensure resources meet regulatory, customer, and internal reporting requirements, deadlines, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform programming and analysis as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to staff and work with business owners to prioritize projects and associated tasks.
  • Lead development and management of internal and external reporting containing critical operational, financial, quality, and compliance metrics.
  • Estimate task feasibility, time, and effort and provide updates to the user community and necessary staff.
  • Monitor data and reporting projects, identify potential problems, and guide projects to successful completion.
  • Direct tactical and strategic plans to satisfy technical business needs.
  • Lead standardization of data processes to ensure efficient practices.
  • Lead changes and enhancements to business processes, policies, and system infrastructure, including project management when needed.
  • Direct and manage business-process re-engineering associated with existing, developing, and implemented systems.
  • Build a local reporting and analytics team through formal meetings, training, coaching, mentoring, and other development techniques.
