Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or another related field
Knowledge in mechanical drafting and design
Experience with SolidWORKS or similar 3D modeling software
Experience sizing and designing pneumatic and servo actuated systems
Knowledge in Allen-Bradley/Rockwell products
Experience designing equipment used in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure successful launch of new connector, jumper, FUZE, and Powerboost products into a volume manufacturing environment
First responder who provides comprehensive solutions to production issues in a timely fashion
Generation and revision of MAIs and QIPs to define standard build process
Fixture design, generation of 2D drawings, and submittal to model shop to be manufactured
Define equipment needed at each station for proper assembly
Drive quality improvements through training and new equipment purchases
Perform time studies and other research activities associated with validating and improving production system performance
Utilizes SolidWORKS and EPDM software to complete comprehensive design of OEM style automation equipment
Develop and own BOM for all components for new machinery
Interact with controls engineer to ensure proper amount of control and sensing is designed into the equipment to meet scope
