Requirements
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • Certification or training in transcranial magnetic stimulation administration is preferred, although the employer is willing to train the right candidate.
  • Experience with the Athena electronic health record system is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with individuals experiencing mental health disorders, is required.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and licensure requirements is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial patient assessments to determine suitability for transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
  • Perform transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy sessions according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document patient responses and treatment outcomes accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and nurse practitioners to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy and answer their questions or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
