Diamond Foundry is looking to bring on a highly skilled Electrician to join our Facilities team. This person will assist with designing our next-generation equipment as well as installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment. The right candidate will ensure safety by observing the local, state, and national electrical-code regulations that pertain to their work. He or she may work at multiple plants in Wenatchee and directly with plant personnel.
Typical salary range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00 per hour. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design of electrical control panels and document assemblies and systems including component selection, mechanical layout, cabling and packaging.
- Improve existing equipment designs by identifying areas for improvement and leading design changes.
- Troubleshooting industrial control/electrical systems including power supplies, controllers, sensors, PLC’s, and other devices.
- Working with manufacturing technicians to plan and execute upgrades and retrofits to improve tool reliability and process capabilities.
- Working on multidisciplinary teams to solve complicated problems.
- Install, repair, and maintain all plant Industrial Electrical components including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, motors, and motor controllers.
- Works individually or as part of a team to successfully complete projects.
- Follows safety procedures and has a good working knowledge of electrical codes.
- Correctly interprets technical documents for proper execution of assignments.
- Conducts quality assurance measures and inspections.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on Journeyman experience and up to date Washington EL01 License.
- Demonstrates and practices a solid understanding of electrical safety (NFPA 70E).
- Comfortable working on 480v power distribution systems.
- Capable of troubleshooting control signals and instrumentation.
- Experience with electrical test equipment (Multimeter, Megohmmeter, Hipot, Process Calibrator).
- Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations.
- Able to read and update schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions based on facts.
- Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders and stairs, crawling, etc.
- Hands-on experience designing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Understanding of industrial machinery standards (NFPA 79, UL 508, etc) is a plus.
- Position requires successful candidate to be onsite.
