  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills and excellent telephone manners
  • Minimum of one year of experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification for medical services with general knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes. Infusion experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation review
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Perform intake duties for infusion orders including creating patient charts, reviewing and entering orders, obtaining clinical requirements, and communicating with prescribers regarding required clinical documentation
  • Verify insurance eligibility, obtain clinical requirements for authorizations, and track patients’ progress
  • Communicate with patients and providers regarding the status of infusion order
  • Perform or assist with enrollment of eligible patients into manufacturer copay assistance programs and/or foundations
  • Educate patients concerning pre/post-infusion expectations and answer questions regarding patient appointments
  • Schedule patient appointments for infusion services
  • Coordinate drug orders prior to infusion appointments
