Requirements
  • Enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in an industrial design program
  • Class standing of a Junior or above
  • Prior internship or Co-op experience, recommended
  • Prior experience with complex surgical products, recommended
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 12 week commitment
  • Fluency in 3D CAD surfacing and working with complex assemblies (Solidworks)
  • Fluency in high-quality photo-realistic rendering (Keyshot)
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the design and engineering teams on user research, concept ideation, and model-making activities
  • Partnering with designers and engineers to shape a world-class user experience and solve usability challenges
  • Conceptualizing new experiences and solutions for users
  • Bringing design storytelling that inspires to the company through well-curated storylines and presentations
  • Facilitating and synthesizing cross-disciplinary ideation workshops
  • Building low fidelity mock-ups (e.g., foam core)
  • Creating high fidelity renderings for design concepts and product artwork
  • Participating in design assessment of various product prototypes, generating report of results, and presenting to cross-functional team members
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining the lab and workshop spaces
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to create and edit videos is a plus (e.g., after effects)
