Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Three or more years’ experience as accountant, preferably in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Infor Visual & OneStream beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Performs month-end financial close for multiple ledgers and meets strict month end close and reporting deadlines.
  • Participates in monthly OneStream reporting, ensures quality and timeliness.
  • Reconciles cash entries daily and supports the monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Prepares journal entries as needed, including prepaid amortizations, accruals, IFRS lease entries, calculating depreciation, allowance for bad debts, payroll.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assists with the fixed assets subledger and processes fixed assets transactions.
  • Creates, reviews and submits HST and Sales Tax returns.
  • Supports Income Tax return preparation for US and Canada.
  • Works on ad-hoc projects and analyses as requested.

Sandvik acquires South African mining simulator firm ThoroughTec for undisclosed sum

Sandvik has signed an agreement to acquire ThoroughTec Simulation, a South Africa-based provider of equipment simulators and training systems for the mining industry. The company will be reported within Sandvik's Parts and Services division. ThoroughTec develops OEM-agnostic training simulators and offers a training management system to help mining customers improve productivity, operator safety and reduce maintenance costs. The acquisition will combine ThoroughTec's simulators with Sandvik's digital solutions to enable customised, data-driven operator training programmes. Headquartered in Durban, ThoroughTec employs over 200 people and generated revenues of around SEK 170 million in 2025. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Sandvik AB Q4 2025 earnings preview: analysts expect $3.28B revenue, $0.34 per share

Sandvik AB is set to release its Q4 2025 earnings on 27 January 2026. The consensus estimate forecasts revenue of $3.28 billion and earnings of $0.34 per share for the quarter. Full-year 2025 revenue is expected to reach $12.67 billion with earnings of $1.24 per share. Revenue estimates for 2026 have risen from $13.57 billion to $14.03 billion over the past 90 days, whilst earnings estimates increased from $1.39 to $1.48 per share.
