Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer success, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the trucking industry and related payment and invoicing processes preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Works well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including proven ability to identify problems and investigate and implement solutions
  • Proficient with relevant software systems and tools, including Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced startup environment where systems and policies are ever changing
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
  • Ownership over end-to-end collections for a portfolio of outstanding invoices for an assigned book of business
  • Manage an outsourced collections agent who will assist with workload
  • Build and maintain relationships with debtors (brokers and carriers) to ensure timely payment and/or issue resolution
  • Create, negotiate, and execute on payment plans with clients as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer interactions
  • Work with other teams to resolve issues related to billing, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Take steps to increase business profitability through proper collection activities on all past due open items
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to collections and customer interactions
