Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in or willing to enroll in an accredited apprenticeship program
  • Level Apprentice I: 0–2,000 apprenticeship hours; Basic understanding of electrical concepts is a plus but not required
  • Level Apprentice II: 2,001–4,000 apprenticeship hours; Developing understanding of electrical systems and wiring principles
  • Level Apprentice III: 4,001–6,000 apprenticeship hours; Understanding of electrical systems and wiring principles
  • Level Apprentice IV: 6,001–8,000 apprenticeship hours; Solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring principles
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time while using tools and perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
Responsibilities
  • Assist in Electrical Installations: Work alongside experienced electricians in installing and connecting electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Support Repairs and Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and executing repairs and maintenance tasks as directed by senior team members
  • Read and Interpret Technical Diagrams: Learn to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to effectively contribute to project execution
  • Learn Electrical Codes and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance during all electrical work
  • Operate Tools and Equipment: Learn to safely handle and utilize various electrical tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced personnel
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Prioritize safety at all times and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job
  • Develop Troubleshooting Skills: Enhance your problem-solving abilities by learning how to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively
  • Assist with Testing and Inspections: Participate in electrical testing, inspections, and quality control procedures to verify the integrity and functionality of installed systems
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and open communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
