Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A 3rd Grade Boiler license from the City of Seattle is required.
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience is required.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except where legal requirements such as a license, certification, or registration apply.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting work throughout the hospital.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner and communicate work-order completion to the requestor and Senior Lead Engineer.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
  • Facilitate quality, professional-grade repairs.
  • Identify potential maintenance and safety problems, notify the Facilities Manager of hazards, and recommend repairs as appropriate.
  • Act as a project coordinator with outside vendors.
  • Use safe work habits and maintain the work area in an orderly manner.
