Requirements
  • Knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces, Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, and alternating-current and direct-current motors.
  • Ability to complete daily maintenance and repair logs in the eMaintenance system.
  • Ability to communicate with operators, leads, supervisors from other shifts, and other departments.
  • Knowledge of company air, water, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use and execute the company lockout/tagout program safely.
  • Ability to maintain and secure work tools.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe mechanical area and production-line environment.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain production equipment and processes.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery.
  • Assist the Mechanic Supervisor with establishing mechanical policies and procedures.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Complete line changeovers and participate in the company SMED initiative and standardization program.
  • Assist with departmental activities as directed by the Director of Mechanical Services, Maintenance Manager, and Supervisor.
  • Manage mechanical supplies, materials, tools, replacement parts, and organization of items in the mechanic area.
  • Liaise with equipment and raw-material suppliers when mechanical issues affect them.
  • Report newly received chemical supplies to the Quality Control Manager for Material Safety Data Sheet labeling.
  • Perform backup work for the production line.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Order tools and machinery inventory parts.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
