Requirements
- Knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces, Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, and alternating-current and direct-current motors.
- Ability to complete daily maintenance and repair logs in the eMaintenance system.
- Ability to communicate with operators, leads, supervisors from other shifts, and other departments.
- Knowledge of company air, water, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use and execute the company lockout/tagout program safely.
- Ability to maintain and secure work tools.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe mechanical area and production-line environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment and processes.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery.
- Assist the Mechanic Supervisor with establishing mechanical policies and procedures.
- Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Complete line changeovers and participate in the company SMED initiative and standardization program.
- Assist with departmental activities as directed by the Director of Mechanical Services, Maintenance Manager, and Supervisor.
- Manage mechanical supplies, materials, tools, replacement parts, and organization of items in the mechanic area.
- Liaise with equipment and raw-material suppliers when mechanical issues affect them.
- Report newly received chemical supplies to the Quality Control Manager for Material Safety Data Sheet labeling.
- Perform backup work for the production line.
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
- Order tools and machinery inventory parts.
- Perform other assigned duties.
