What believers are saying

  • Centene's December 2025 divestiture and Madison's February 13, 2026 purchase reset Magellan's strategy.
  • Louisiana ECSS launched July 1, 2025, expanding revenue beyond employer benefits into state contracts.
  • Dr. Steven Pratt became chief medical officer on September 10, 2025, strengthening clinical credibility.

What critics are saying

  • Roiz ghost-network litigation against Magellan and Blue Shield still exposes directory-practice discovery and appeals.
  • Louisiana layoffs in June 2025 followed a contract loss, proving state work cuts headcount fast.
  • Persistent ghost-network claims destroy renewals and turn Magellan into a distressed asset.
