Requirements
  • High school education or GED.
  • Own reliable transportation, a good driving record, and car insurance.
  • Completion and passing of a two-step Tuberculosis skin test.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and listen to the needs of patients and doctors.
  • Ability to perform the required physical activities, including standing, walking, pushing, stooping, lifting as applicable, and pushing patients in wheelchairs.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, work irregular hours when required, and tolerate occasional exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, protected health information, and company compliance-program requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians at assigned long-term care facilities with audiology, optometry, podiatry, and behavioral health care.
  • Complete chart preparation for scheduled patients before every visit.
  • Verify and maintain accurate clinical records, charts, and medical history through electronic medical records during patient visits.
  • Maintain documentation integrity and complete end-of-visit reports on the day of the visit.
  • Provide daily feedback and work with the branch office to optimize scheduling and reporting.
  • Coordinate patient flow with facility staff during visits, including removing socks or shoes and pushing wheelchairs when needed.
  • Balance and generate daily production reports and provide them to the manager on the day of the visit.
  • Post charges accurately to the appropriate provider in a timely manner.
  • Work in the medical-office capacity provided by the facility.
  • Clean and care for medical equipment after every visit.
  • Audit medical-supply inventory, anticipate supply needs, and place or expedite supply orders.
  • Prepare supplies while minimizing waste and duplication.
  • Complete preventive-maintenance requirements and follow manufacturer instructions to ensure medical equipment works properly.
  • Clean the service area used at the facility before departing.
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner and document conversations in the electronic medical record.
  • Travel up to 100% of the time to and from assigned medical facilities within up to a 2.5-hour radius.
  • Complete compliance training and report suspected violations of law or company policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
