Requirements
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience servicing electrical equipment; equivalent military education and at least 4 years of experience servicing electrical equipment; or a high school diploma/GED and at least 8 years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Experience with web applications and Microsoft products.
  • Compliance with GE HealthCare's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
  • Compliance with customer access policies during employment, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when applicable.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, and kneel or crawl.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment.
  • Perform installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment as needed.
  • Lead, instruct, and assist less experienced Field Engineers and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Lead communications with customers and serve as the escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations.
  • Own customer issues from dispatch or issue identification through resolution and proactively communicate issue status to relevant team members.
  • Lead and communicate headquarters and zone- or area-level initiatives.
  • Co-lead regular team or modality meetings as required.
  • Partner with customers and recommend value-added services to improve business efficiency.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and manage cycle times.
  • Use the GE HealthCare escalation process and work with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans.
  • Serve as a member and leader of the account community for key accounts, engage commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, participate in sales opportunities, and support revenue programs.
  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction while building and enhancing customer relationships.
  • Monitor competitor information and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales teams and regional or zone leadership to support business growth.
  • Assist the Area Service Manager or Director of Service in creating growth and deployment strategies.
  • Provide application training to clinical or scientific staff on designated equipment when required.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. GE HealthCare launches Invenia ABUS Prime and StreamVue for breast cancer screening

GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts.
