Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required
  • 4 years of relevant progressive service experience as a Clinical Engineer I or similar role required
  • A+ Certified Professional (A+CERT) or related certification required within 24 months of hire
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM), OR Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) required
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on general medical equipment and specialty devices
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify performance of clinical equipment and systems
  • Document equipment information and service activities within the medical equipment database
  • Communicate with clinical care providers regarding equipment service activities
  • Deliver high quality and cost-effective results by performing medical equipment service
  • Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to the department budget
  • Participate in relevant technical and professional training
  • Respond to customer concerns, patient incidents, recalls, and regulatory findings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for positive changes
