Organizational
The Competitive Intelligence Team – Local, provides advertising intelligence that yields insights resulting in a marketplace advantage for a major client. Our goal is to use this data to provide actionable insights that inform strategy and investment.
Individual:
We are looking for a Manager, Competitive Intelligence, to serve as the primary contact for competitive reporting and contextualizing. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic planning, an in-depth understanding of the media market, and an expertise in competitive tools. This person will play a crucial role in our Competitive team, demonstrating strong teamwork, delegation skills, and the ability to extract insights from competitive data.
Responsibilities
Individual:
- Lead the creation of innovative reports, ensuring they are tailored to our clients’ unique business needs.
- Present and competently defend data analysis on a regular basis.
- Proficiently use Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrate a willingness to learn new software and innovate with existing tools.
- Showcase strong writing and public speaking skills, effectively conveying insights and recommendations.
- Work independently and collaboratively, adapting to the needs of the team.
- Research, interpret, and evaluate marketing and research data to develop impactful media objectives and strategies.
Organizational:
• Write and present research analysis and understand media plans.
• Communicate with clients, and other agency departments.
• Foster internal/agency communications and relationships.
Team:
• Train competitive associates in a variety of required systems and processes.
• Encourage creativity and pro-activity of competitive team.
• Supervise workflow to guarantee timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• 3-4 years of experience in media research, planning, or account management.
• Telecom experience not necessary but would be a plus.
• Proficient across all channels (print, TV, radio, interactive, OOH).
• Have solid command of industry research and trends.
• Organized, detail oriented. Expects excellence and accuracy.
• Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, Comscore, Google Analytics
