This position is responsible for attending and recording hearings/court proceedings heard before an Administrative Law Judge.
Typical Functions
- Handles recording of court proceedings held before administrative law judges.
- Administrative support to ALJs during hearings/court proceedings.
- File hearing docket results; renaming and handling of Zoom recordings; process and file hearing exhibits.
- Communicates with the court administrator, ALJs and court reporters regarding hearing issues and/or questions.
- Provide administrative support to the court administrator.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree or four years of technical clerical, administrative, secretarial, or general office work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and business English; of modern office methods and procedures; the maintenance of complex records; and the major policies and procedures governing assigned programs. Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; perform confidential work and maintain confidentiality; interpret and complete routine matters according to agency policies and procedures; and follow oral and written instructions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of a computer.
Additional Job Description
Core work hours for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission are Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. This schedule may require flexibility based on the needs of the agency. Remote work may be required based on the needs of the agency, division, and program. Applicant must be willing and able to work BOTH on-site and remotely, generally in the applicant’s home. Applicant must have a secure internet connection and Teams phone capabilities during scheduled working hours.
