Job Summary:
The Global Benefits Manager is responsible for the comprehensive administration, compliance, and strategic oversight of the company’s global benefit programs. This role ensures that all benefit offerings, including medical, dental, vision plans, 401(k), wellness programs, and various pension plans, align with the company’s growth strategies, business objectives, and talent acquisition and retention goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Global Benefits Administration & Compliance:
- Manage and ensure compliance for all global benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision plans, LTD, STD, 401(k), wellness, pension plans (e.g., DEWS, MFP, CPF), and voluntary benefits.
- Oversee the annual open enrollment process, collaborating with brokers on plan renewals and communicating changes to employees.
- Oversee the annual renewal process for international office benefit plans
- Serve as the primary contact for complex employee benefit issues, including FMLA, disability, and worker compensation claims.
- Promote and communicate international benefit programs effectively across all offices.
- Vendor & Consultant Management:
- Act as the main liaison with benefit consultants and plan providers to ensure efficient administration of benefit plans.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors, including brokers and service providers.
- Benefit Program Development:
- Conduct benefits surveys, research, analyze, and recommend new benefit programs to maintain competitiveness and manage costs.
- Implement new programs and provide effective communication and training to employees.
- Evaluate and enhance existing wellness programs and recommend new initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to governmental regulations related to benefit programs and labor laws, including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA.
- Conduct required testing, audits, non-discrimination testing, and filing of 5500s.
- System & Technology Management:
- Manage the systems and technology supporting the benefit plans, ensuring seamless administration.
- Ensure the proper day-to-day processing of benefit changes and enrollments by the payroll team.
- Review and approve all benefit-related bills, coordinating with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and improve existing processes to maintain process excellence.
- Develop and provide management information and analytics as appropriate.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of relevant benefits experience.
- Expertise in managing benefits across multiple locations, with essential experience in the US and preferred experience within EMEA and/or APAC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in change management and acting as an agent of change, guiding senior management and colleagues.
- Strong capability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Leadership skills, particularly in managing remote teams.
- Effective project management abilities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A proactive, ’can do’ attitude with a commitment to driving service excellence and supporting organizational growth.
Salary Range
$150—$175 USD
