Requirements
  • An Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Three years of experience coordinating multiple functions in a post-secondary institutional setting is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and business leaders to create educational opportunities.
  • A valid unrestricted driver license must be maintained.
  • The ability to work independently in a field-based environment and build professional networks from the ground up is required.
  • Knowledge of procurement and budget processes is required.
  • Knowledge of college policies and procedures is required.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment, personal computers, and standard office software is required.
  • Understanding of the surrounding community, employment opportunities, and educational and training needs is required.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, faculty, students, and the public is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the day-to-day operations of the Springer Satellite.
  • Provide support to staff, faculty, students, and the community within the Satellite.
  • Identify and analyze regional workforce trends and labor market data to align satellite programming with local industry needs.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders, business leaders, and academic directors to create educational opportunities and certificate programs addressing regional skills gaps.
  • Maintain a non-standard work schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends, to ensure operational coverage.
  • Serve as the college’s outreach representative by initiating outreach with local businesses, high schools, and the community to recruit students and promote the college’s programs.
  • Assist with planning and preparing budgets, funding proposals, and financial reports.
  • Monitor the Satellite’s annual budget, prepare future budget requests, and prepare budget adjustment requests in accordance with college rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities department on additional needs and support custodial staff when necessary.
  • Provide services in conjunction with Academic and Career Placement, Admissions and Recruitment, Bookstore, Information Technology, Financial Aid, Fiscal Office, Registrars, Security, academic departments, and the Warehouse.
  • Assist students with placement testing, advisement, admission, registration, enrollment, retention, and other support identified by the college.
  • Manage and maintain the facility, including assessment and planning for current and new facilities and equipment, in conjunction with the main campus, Physical Plant, and the Springer community.
  • Collaborate with the main campus to initiate and administer student recruitment and retention efforts related to the Satellite program, including advising prospective students, scheduling, and compiling outcomes assessment examinations.
  • Participate in institutional, professional, and other committee activities.
  • Establish and maintain external professional contacts and relationships supporting the institution’s strategic goals.
  • Provide student reports as needed.
  • Complete professional development and adopt best practices related to supervision and service to the college’s constituency.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Rough Rider Mentorship Program.
  • Assist with duties at the Las Vegas and other satellites when needed.
  • Work odd hours and weekends as identified by the college.
  • Travel to various sites, school districts, and other required meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
