Requirements
  • A strong IT background with 4+ years of experience working in an IT support or deployment position
  • Comfortable working alone to complete objectives and satisfy customer requirements with little management oversight
  • Local to London with the ability to travel to all Metropolitan Police sites
  • Understanding of ITIL and Change Management processes with a high level of comfort planning, documenting and executing changes following process and rolling back as required
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 Client OS
  • Experience with image creation and maintenance
  • Willingness to undergo vetting to NPPV3+SC level
Responsibilities
  • Provide front line email, phone and in person support to the Metropolitan Police and their Axon products
  • Join Forces with Axon teams both in the UK and worldwide to triage and prioritize issues and requests from the customer
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve Axon product issues
  • Escalation Support of MET DIR estate (Fault diagnostics of Axon Software & camera, microphone, server, client & switch components)
  • Perform hardware/firmware upgrades on cameras, switches, servers, desktops and other hardware modules as needed
  • Perform software upgrades as needed by the customer potentially out of hours or overnight as needed
  • Develop knowledge base articles on frequent and critical issues
  • Solve problems effectively in a continually evolving environment
  • Report bugs and trends to the necessary Axon engineering teams
  • Proactively improve knowledge and develop analytical and technical skills
  • Provide technical escalation support to other business areas
  • Create and maintain internal product test environments
  • Maintain and administration of internal deployment records.internal and trial assests
  • Provide training to MPS DIR power users/end users
  • Maintain a testing environment and test data for issue replication and diagnostics
  • Assist Product Test Manager when required
  • Travel to customer sites throughout London and surrounds
