Requirements
  • ARB registration and an RIBA Part 3 qualification are required.
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience delivering projects across RIBA Stages 0–7 is required.
  • A strong technical background with experience in detailed design and construction delivery is required.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
  • Good design skills and the ability to develop concepts into robust, buildable solutions are required.
  • A confident, client-facing approach and experience working within multi-disciplinary teams are required.
  • Experience of NBS Chorus is required.
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are required.
  • Applicants must be able to undergo a DBS Enhanced check.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day architectural delivery of small to medium-sized projects across education, commercial and residential sectors.
  • Act as the primary architectural point of contact for allocated projects, liaising directly with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver design proposals from concept through technical design, ensuring alignment with client briefs, statutory requirements and agreed programmes.
  • Produce and oversee technical drawings, specifications and schedules for planning, building regulations, tender and construction stages.
  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, civil, MEP, sustainability and surveying disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Prepare and manage statutory submissions, including planning applications and building regulation packages.
  • Support procurement and construction activities, including preparation of tender documentation, responding to contractor queries and requests for information, and attending site inspections.
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings, design team meetings, planning consultations and site meetings.
  • Apply technical judgement to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
  • Manage workload to meet agreed quality, fee and programme targets, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring support to junior team members and contribute to internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Engage with sustainability and low-carbon design principles.
