Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial technician, including supporting Facilities Managers for electronic hardware products or similar “hard tech” products
  • Organized, efficient, and has a critical eye for identifying risks
  • Effective communicator who is comfortable speaking up and proactively taking leadership responsibilities
  • Has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude and thrives in a fast-paced start up environment
Responsibilities
  • Continuously manage and maintain communication and integration across internal and external stakeholders to ensure production facilities uptime
  • Working knowledge in the operation and maintenance of gloveboxes and/or other vacuum systems is a plus
  • Support system repairs and monitor system performance of facility and lab equipment
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
  • Support Shipping/Receiving Department functions
  • Take lead in performing housekeeping of all facilities
  • Support tenant improvement projects
  • Provide technical support to Engineering teams in procuring and setting up new equipment
  • Ensure compliance to City, State, and Federal level for hazardous materials, environmental, EH&S, etc
  • Install equipment when required, arrange for placement, connections, and anchoring
  • Support repairs required for facility
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep working knowledge of operation and maintenances a plus: 1) Thermal oxidizers, air scrubbers, air handling units, fans/blowers, control valves and instrumentation, hazardous exhaust, dehumidification units, air compressors/dryers; 2) Glove boxes, chillers, vacuum pumps; 3) Energy savings and electrical equipment; 4) Hazardous materials/waste storage/containment/conveyance
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in engineering field
