Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Leadership ability to manage the workflow of a shop.
  • Excellent automotive diagnostic skills.
  • A strong investment in tools.
  • Ability to flag 40 or more hours per week, depending on shop needs.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor other technicians.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle repair.
  • Sufficient dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate a computer.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and fix vehicles for customers using automotive knowledge and skills.
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work closely with the service department to communicate customer concerns effectively.
  • Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASE certification is preferred.
  • L1 A-Level Technician status is preferred.
