  • 5+ years of experience with Altium PWB design software
  • 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks 3D modeling software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook programs
  • Familiarity with parts lists and assembly drawings, ability to utilize software tools to prepare/extract/convert older printed wiring board databases into current software formats
  • Experienced with reviewing Mechanical PWB Layout drawings to understand mechanical requirements, such as keep out areas, max component height, and other circuit card features.
Responsibilities
  • Interface directly with Engineering personnel during the design and development of new printed wiring board designs.
  • Interpret Engineering design guidelines and prepare detailed board layouts, layer routing, component footprints, etc. as needed to fully incorporate design requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with project peers and engineering personnel via e-mail, Teams meetings, including regular status reports and illustrative presentation slides.
  • Understand project goals and individual contribution toward those goals.
  • Ability to evaluate PWB design trade-offs necessary to meet design requirements and produce high quality cost effective PWBs that meet project schedule objectives.
  • Understand the requirements driving PWB technology and process trends.
  • Maintain technical coordination with Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Resolve PWB design issues with fabrication and assembly vendors.
