Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience within product development, design, or as a product strategist/investment strategist with demonstrable track record of delivering successful outcomes
  • In-depth knowledge of the European regulatory landscape in relation to asset management and funds including MiFID, UCITS, AIFMD, BMR and SFDR
  • Knowledge in sustainable investing including investments, the regulatory environment and client demand
  • Experience and knowledge across the elements of the product development process: research, strategy, structuring, launch co-ordination and product lifecycle management
  • Manage complex projects with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies
  • Strong capabilities in researching and analysing market trends and intelligence to support product strategy and design including experience in using third party databases.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify / analyse issues, find viable alternatives and recommend solutions
  • Highly effective relationship-building with strong collaborative skills across all levels and teams within a global business
  • Ability to be persuasive and articulate in presenting complex ideas and issues to teams across the business in a clear and succinct way.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Morningstar, Bloomberg, Factset, Lipper etc.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and deliver new EMEA-domiciled ETFs to support SSGA’s EMEA Institutional and Intermediary clients and prospects to support SSGA’s overall strategy and business priorities.
  • Develop, support and execute on SSGA’s EMEA product roadmap and provide insights to the global product roadmap, including in relation to sustainable investing.
  • Execute the product strategy, develop business cases, design product features and co-ordinate launches. Work cross-functionally to develop and position the firm's EMEA product range.
  • Analyse market research and understand the competitive marketplace to identify market trends and potential new product opportunities.
  • Understand the needs of SSGA’s EMEA institutional and intermediary clients and prospects, the opportunities in the market and how best to respond to both of these with SSGA’s investment capabilities.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle of the existing range of funds; analyse - and where appropriate adjust - pricing, positioning and operating models to ensure they remain market-leading products; merge or close products if needed.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with the Global Product team, key internal and external business partners.
  • Participate in the implementation of EU / UK regulation impacting SSGA’s EMEA product range.
  • Contribute to and produce key management reports, in support of a strong governance process and to ensure accountability for the Product team.
