Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least three years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Experience supporting clinical documentation, audits, compliance monitoring, quality improvement activities, regulatory readiness, or staff training is required.
  • Experience using an electronic health record, such as NextGen, and maintaining accurate documentation is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required, or it must be obtained within five business days of hire.
  • An Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card is required, or it must be obtained within five business days of hire.
  • The employee must meet additional licensure, certification, credentialing, or regulatory requirements applicable to the position.
  • The employee must be at least 18 years of age.
  • The employee must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • The employee must successfully pass pre-employment and continued-employment screenings.
  • The employee must be able to collect, validate, and summarize data accurately.
  • The employee must prepare clear documentation, including audit findings, trackers, training records, and meeting notes.
  • The employee must organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • The employee must work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
  • The employee must demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • The employee must maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to support clinic operations and compliance timelines.
  • The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record reporting tools.
  • The employee must be able to operate computers, common software packages, and other office machinery.
  • The employee must be able to work at Valle del Sol offices, clinics, or other directed locations.
  • The employee must be able to attend meetings at various Valle del Sol and designated locations as needed.
  • The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods; operate computers, mobile devices, and standard office or clinical equipment; and lift or move materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to travel to various Valle del Sol locations or community sites when required.
Responsibilities
  • Support organizational performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, training, competency development, and quality project coordination.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve patient care, strengthen operational workflows, ensure staff competency, and maintain accreditation readiness.
  • Conduct audits, facilitate training, coordinate improvement projects, and provide coaching to support high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies, including PDSA cycles, Lean principles, and workflow redesign.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and measure outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and audits.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, documentation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain readiness for accreditation requirements, including The Joint Commission, HRSA, and state regulations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective action planning.
  • Identify, track, and escalate organizational risks.
  • Operate standard office, clinical, and communication equipment, including computers, phones, printers, electronic health record systems, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Travel between Valle del Sol sites or community locations when required, including possible evening or weekend work based on program needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
  • An associate's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Quality Management, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Joint Commission, HRSA, OSHA, ADHS, SAMHSA, or other healthcare accreditation or regulatory surveys is preferred.
  • Experience developing or delivering staff training, onboarding, or competency assessments is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare data analysis, quality metrics, dashboards, or performance improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification, including CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety certification is preferred.
  • Additional certifications related to healthcare quality, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, or healthcare education are preferred.
