Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care as a board-certified (or eligible) pediatric hematologist/oncologist focused on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, cellular therapy, and gene therapy.
  • Join a collaborative, patient-focused team of 12 attending physicians (including 2 nocturnists), six inpatient advanced practice providers, eight outpatient advanced providers, and a fellowship program.
  • Participate in and contribute to the Division's clinical trials through the Children’s Oncology Group, Beat Childhood Cancer, the Pediatric Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Consortium, and BMT-CTN; maintain involvement with industry-related oncology, hematology, and sickle cell clinical trials including gene therapy.
  • Collaborate with Hollings Cancer Center, MUSC’s National Cancer Institute designated cancer center, and the Darby Clinical Research Institute; contribute to the Center for Cellular Therapy cGMP facility engaged in production of research cellular therapy products.
  • Support the Division's status as a FACT-accredited stem cell transplant, cellular therapy, and gene therapy program; participate in ongoing program activities and patient care within the tertiary referral center.
