Who You Are
Crimson Sage is the Justworks Labs benefits brokerage project. We are building full-featured insurance quoting/enrollment platform in conjunction with a partner ecosystem.
Reporting to the GTM Lead, the Benefits Consultant will work closely with the Crimson Sage team and our internal Customer Success team to ensure that any support-related requests that require a licensed broker are routed to the correct place. The person in this role will interact directly with prospects who have questions or concerns specifically related to the benefits being offered by Crimson Sage. Also, they will be client-facing during the sales and ongoing support processes, answer questions, and provide guidance regarding benefits managed by Crimson Sage.
Additionally, they will act as an analyst of the small group market, gathering overall pricing and comparing it to our master policies, collecting intel on carrier entrants and exits, and the quality of the small group market state by state.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
Not only will the Benefits Consultant work closely with the Health Initiatives team, but they will also partner with the Customer Success team, Sales team, and Risk and Insurance team at Justworks. They will also perform the following duties:
- Manage support functions that deal specifically with supporting customers using benefits offered by Crimson Sage or partner brokerages
- Work closely with the Sales team during and after the sales process when a licensed broker is needed. Analyze the small group market state by state, relative to our master policies, making recommendations on where to focus on expanding our optionality
- Act as the liaison between our preferred broker partners and us, advocating for the prospect when brokers are generating quotes to make sure they are received by the customer in a timely manner, and selling Justworks along the way to the prospect
- Monitor the overall health of our relationships with our preferred broker partners, highlighting areas where we can collaborate better with them or push them to make changes
- Work closely with the Risk and Insurance team to incorporate small group quoting into our entry underwriting practices, collaborating on new tools and processes, and iterating as we grow

Qualifications
- Licensed (or in the process of getting licensed) to sell small group health insurance in the state of New York, and other states
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance/PEO space
- Strong analysis skills
- Experience in tech/SaaS a plus
- Able to apply creative solutions to a variety of issues in a fast-paced environment
- You enjoy entrepreneurial environments and the opportunity to build something meaningful!
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $109,000.00 to $109,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
