Requirements
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years outside industrial sales experience
  • Knowledge / experience within industrial hose industry is preferred
  • Mechanically inclined – able to work in industrial settings that require standing, walking, lifting, etc.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and ability to learn and use a CRM system.
  • Valid Drivers’s license
  • Some overnight travel may be required
Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated territory with existing and potential customers
  • Contact current and prospective customers to solicit business orders
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calling
  • Meeting revenue and margin goals as established by Sales Director
  • Recommend products to customers, based upon customer’s needs and interests
  • Maintain records, reports and notes on daily orders, phone conversations with customers
  • Keep ahead of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
  • Resolves customer challenges through investigation, developing solutions and making recommendations to management
  • Build and maintain customer relationships; provide customer support with technical product information and preparing thorough and accurate quotes, order acknowledgements, samples, etc.
  • Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with all company products
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures
