Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
- 2+ years outside industrial sales experience
- Knowledge/experience within industrial hose industry is preferred
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and ability to learn and use a CRM system
- Valid Driver's license
- Some overnight travel may be required
Responsibilities
- Manage a designated territory with existing and potential customers
- Contact current and prospective customers to solicit business orders
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calling
- Meeting revenue and margin goals as established by Sales Director
- Recommend products to customers based upon customer’s needs and interests
- Maintain records, reports, and notes on daily orders and phone conversations with customers
- Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
- Resolve customer challenges through investigation, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
- Build and maintain customer relationships; provide customer support with technical product information and preparing thorough and accurate quotes, order acknowledgments, samples, etc.
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with all company products
- Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
- Comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures
