- Certification from a dental college, three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Arizona X-Ray certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Arizona Coronal Polish certification is required.
- Assist the doctor in procedures.
- Take x-rays.
- Take intraoral images.
- Assist in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up, break down, and prepare rooms for treatment and hygiene.
- Chart the patient's treatment and treatment plan with the doctor.
- Arizona Sealant certification is preferred.
