  • The position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent related experience.
  • The role requires the ability to interpret or extract information and perform arithmetic functions.
  • The role may require typing, basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • CPR training is required and may be completed upon hire.
  • The role requires availability for varying day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments.
  • Team members are responsible for providing close-toed footwear.
Responsibilities
  • Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner and ask questions to make personal connections so guests feel welcome and valued.
  • Sell the property according to the Suburban Inns sales standard.
  • Gather guest data, including address information, credit cards, and signatures.
  • Follow daily shift checklists and complete tasks in order to support smooth and efficient hotel operations.
  • Record special needs, requests, and unusual occurrences in Quore, and communicate unusual occurrences to the next shift.
  • Complete required emergency training according to Suburban Inns and brand standards, document completion, and remain knowledgeable about emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workspace at the front desk and adjacent areas.
  • Perform property walk-arounds, address issues encountered, pick up trash, used towels, and room-service trays, monitor safety and security issues, and report problems to the appropriate department and General Manager.
  • Settle and reconcile guest accounts and paperwork.
  • Balance the cash drawer and make appropriate cash drops.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel policies, services, and amenities.
  • Respond to guest requests for assistance and provide information about surrounding-area directions, dining, and entertainment.
  • Handle guest concerns and solve problems tactfully and professionally.
  • Maintain open communication between all hotel departments.
  • Follow all Suburban Inns processes.
  • Maintain regular and recurrent attendance.
  • Perform other duties requested by management.
