Requirements
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health (for Assignment Level I).
  • A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization (for Assignment Level II and above).
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization (for Assignment Level II and above).
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above, with at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience described in "2" above. Two years as a City Research Scientist Level I can be substituted for the experience required in "1" and "2" above.
Responsibilities
  • Initial and continuous needs assessment of EAP staff
  • Clinical Supervision of EAP Counselors
  • Weekly meetings with each counselor
  • Monthly clinical meetings with All EAP Counselors
  • Chart reviews
  • Annual evaluations
  • Providing direct services to clients
  • Program Development based on needs assessments
  • Developing educational and marketing materials to promote the program
  • Consulting with senior staff to assess the ongoing needs of the staff
  • Organize community resources to address the issues that are impacting city government employees
  • Staffing/scheduling of services
  • Report directly to EAP Deputy Director of Clinical Services
