Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance monitoring, a pharmaceutical environment, or a managed care environment is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to use independent judgment and solid reasoning skills when rendering decisions and troubleshooting issues is required.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining awareness of overall goals is required.
  • Experience with AS400 query or other query tools and the ability to learn new software applications are required.
  • Experience in report production and the ability to maximize system capabilities to lead outcome improvement are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance and auditing processes for all lines of business to ensure accurate servicing operations, benefit information, adjudication functionality within the pharmacy system, external communications, required regulatory documentation, and related operations and processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain manual and automated test scripts using testing tools.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain test cases, data, files, and testing strategies.
  • Participate in functional, regression, performance, and system testing.
  • Log and manage defect status and resolution within the quality assurance software tool.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control policies, procedures, manuals, and other necessary process documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and ensure adherence to claims processing standards, technical requirements, supporting processes, systems, and required program documentation.
  • Support cross-functional projects, represent the quality assurance team at meetings, review requirements, develop test approaches, and provide feedback.
  • Work on moderately complex to complex issues requiring data analysis.
  • Develop effective relationships that support appropriate feedback and development.
  • Report quality assurance and audit results to management and leadership teams.
  • Identify, monitor, and communicate trends in inaccuracies and work with teams to resolve them and ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Perform ad hoc queries in the audit database to support decision-making.
  • Perform integration testing and track, document, and verify resolution while working with subject matter experts to resolve defects.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all lines of business requirements and operational processes and develop plans to improve existing quality standards.
  • Work with associates to predict, identify, resolve, and document problems.
  • Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships throughout the company.
  • Clarify issues quickly to ensure successful resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or another government program is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy online claims processing systems is preferred.
