Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (language testing may be required)
  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade with training and experience in advanced-level administrative support
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of experience demonstrating the ability to perform the position's duties (or equivalent training/experience)
Responsibilities
  • Implementing, monitoring and maintaining Student Health Center program processes, procedures, program-related events, and systems to support leadership and staff
  • Prioritizing their own work and handling several tasks simultaneously; expected to use independent judgment in scheduling and accomplishing work
  • Performing receptionist duties: answering phones, greeting and assisting students/clients and visitors; providing information regarding the SHC program; referring calls to appropriate staff and taking messages for return contact; sending triage messages for follow up; ordering supplies and distributing mail to staff
  • Performing a wide variety of highly complex office support duties including the creation and maintenance of detailed tracking records, and gathering, verifying and correcting information received from a variety of sources
  • Position will work with and require experience in Epic/Epic systems, electronic medical and health records, etc. to complete tasks and requests
  • Connecting with Health and/or Finance & Business Management staff for contract and billing requirements, exception requests, etc. Communicating back to student and/or parent or guardian on needed actions or information, etc. for approval and resolution
  • Explaining complex billing and appointment processes and concerns, apply appropriate release of information to correct party(s) only to maintain confidentiality, connect with internal of external agencies or sources to help student and adult parties for financial assistance and steps needed to qualify, and document all actions taken to assist students in meeting timelines and Student Health Center requirements
  • Scheduling appointments with clinic providers, distributing appointment slips and appointment reminders, calling clients out of class, making reminder calls and providing follow up on client wait lists
  • Attending various school, community, Health Department, and other agency meetings and training, and communicates information back to the clinic team
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR software
