Requirements

3-6 years of Communications / PR experience
Experience with coaching and partnering with executives
Existing relationships with media members across tech, news, and business industries
Ability to take technical information and disseminate it into concise and easy-to-understand language
Experience working with tech company narratives preferred; Ideally for both B2B and B2C businesses

Responsibilities

Lead all parts of the Crunchbase PR strategy including corporate, product, and crisis communications
Manage our thought leadership program by securing contributed placements, interviews, and speaking opportunities for our executive team and internal data experts
Act as the central point of contact for our PR agency, guiding their day-to-day activities, and setting direction, so they can achieve big results
Run Crunchbase's pressroom, ensuring content is up to date
Handle media training and preparation for our spokespeople, including writing suggested talk tracks and speeches
Build upon existing roster of media relationships
Become an expert in all things Crunchbase so you can suggest and source original stories from inside the company. You see a new story in every piece of company data, product launch, or corporate milestone
Maintain our awards program to ensure that Crunchbase is positioned as a best-in-class prospecting solution and industry thought leader
Maintain and grow our target media list across sales, technology, business, and industry-specific outlets

Marketing Team

The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for all parts of the marketing funnel, from brand awareness through to conversion and customer retention. We are at the forefront of a globally recognized brand, interacting with millions of users every month—yet we have the agility, speed, and empowerment that comes with working at a startup. We are a group of collaborative, curious, tenacious, and supportive individuals working together to help take Crunchbase to the next level.

Our Brand Marketing team is responsible for communicating the Crunchbase brand and educating customers through content, social media, and external press coverage. You will report directly to the Director of Brand and Communications and support functions like executive communications, product launches, and media requests.

What We’re Looking For:

3-6 years of Communications / PR experience
Experience with coaching and partnering with executives
Existing relationships with media members across tech, news, and business industries

Experience working with tech company narratives preferred; Ideally for both B2B and B2C businesses

Salary Range

$110,000—$125,000 USD
