Requirements
  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • Must be honest and trustworthy when accessing guestrooms and property.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, learn, read, concentrate, think, and communicate.
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must know proper handling of linens, terry, and other supplies while considering sanitation and cost controls.
  • Must know guestroom cleaning procedures.
  • Must know safety and security measures and immediately report or correct hazardous conditions.
  • Must know the housekeeping department's materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Must maintain the designated minutes per room.
  • Must follow the company's systematic cleaning procedures.
  • Must assist with guest issues professionally while maintaining a hospitable attitude.
  • Must be able to work alone without direct supervision and as a team member.
  • Must comply with all standards and multitask while remaining service-centric.
  • Must communicate professionally with guests and coworkers, including through messages and communication logbooks.
  • Must be able to learn and use computer systems necessary for daily tasks, including Quore and Hotel Effectiveness.
  • Must exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and follow grooming and uniform standards.
  • Must be available to work any day or shift, including weekends.
  • This position requires physical presence at the hotel and is not suitable for telecommuting or remote work.
Responsibilities
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms so they are guest-ready and return occupied dirty rooms to occupied-clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints.
  • Follow all cleaning procedures in the housekeeping training and training checklist for every assignment.
  • Follow general cleaning procedures every 90 days.
  • Report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Help maintain the associate breakroom, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Respond immediately to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and the safety and security needs of guests and associates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing.
