  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in process engineering, polymer patterning, or electronics manufacturing is required, preferably in roll-to-roll or high-mix/mid-volume environments.
  • Deep expertise in polymer patterning and roll-to-roll web-handling manufacturing processes is required.
  • Experience with in-line vision recognition systems for process monitoring and quality control is required.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, data visualization, systematic experiment design, and related software such as JMP and Minitab is required.
  • The ability to synthesize and interpret complex process data to support continuous improvement is required.
  • The ability to work independently to solve problems and learn new skills and technologies is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic manufacturing setting is required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities are required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize polymer patterning processes for flexible electronics, focusing on roll-to-roll web-handling manufacturing.
  • Design and refine in-line vision recognition systems to monitor and control pattern quality, alignment, and defect detection during continuous processing.
  • Establish and document best practices for polymer patterning, web handling, and vision system integration to ensure robust and repeatable production outcomes.
  • Analyze process data to improve yield, throughput, and product quality.
  • Qualify new patterning processes for compatibility with existing and future manufacturing lines and support transitions from research and development to production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve polymer patterning, web-handling, and vision-system issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and lean process improvements.
