Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk children or youth in mental health, foster care, child welfare, or juvenile justice is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable private transportation that meets The Salvation Army's insurance requirements are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized mental health support services to children and youth ages 0–21 with emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Deliver services in community settings such as homes, schools, or other natural settings.
  • Help youth and families build skills, manage symptoms, and function successfully in their daily lives.
  • Use practical, strengths-based interventions to support youth in remaining in their homes and communities and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations or higher levels of care.
