Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk children or youth in mental health, foster care, child welfare, or juvenile justice
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable private transportation that meets Salvation Army insurance requirements
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized mental health support services to children and youth (ages 0–21) with emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Deliver services in the community—such as in the home, school, or other natural settings—to help youth and families build skills, manage symptoms, and function successfully in their daily lives
  • Focus on practical, strengths-based interventions that support the youth's ability to remain in their home and community, while avoiding unnecessary hospitalizations or higher levels of care
  • This position will begin as part-time (29 hours a week), with the potential to transition to full-time (35 hours a week) based on agency needs, successful completion of the preliminary employment period, and consistent productivity
  • Scheduling is flexible based on provider and family availability
Desired Qualifications
  • Progress toward licensure in mental health or a related field with backing of Salvation Army
