Creative Director/Art
dna Communications is looking for a unicorn: a conceptual Creative Director/Art with great design sense. The candidate will help us develop breakthrough work on our healthcare/social impact clients.

ABOUT THE JOB:
• a chance to create award-winning work for blue chip healthcare clients and upstart biopharmas
- partner with the GCD to help mentor and manage the creative team
- you’ll still get your hands dirty – creating the work alongside them
• work closely with project management, production, and client experience teams
• help shape the final output of the work leaving dna

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- generate ideas across all platforms including: social, PR activations, stunts, online videos, and whatever touch point is right.
- help direct the look & feel for a range of brands and products
- make use of a variety of conceptual disciplines (writing, pitching, brainstorming) while displaying an understanding of executional ones (graphic design, digital, social, and video)
- push forward brave ideas
- Continually innovate the process, the ideas, and the strategies to help accounts grow
- With the Group Creative Director, drive the collaborative efforts of the project’s creative team
- handling large and dangerous wild animals
- reading to the very end of a document and recognizing when something doesn’t seem right
QUALIFICATIONS:
- a robust portfolio of work with strong design
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in the media industry
- a love for art and design, and an eye for great writing
- an understanding of what makes compelling work – on social platforms, in video, or in big earned media activations and ideas that get talked about, reported on, and pointed to by other agencies
- proven leadership skills managing multiple projects/tasks/teams of varying complexities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure
- Video production experience – the ability to storyboard/ art direct concise scripts
- experience with social media platforms and a decent knowledge of their best practices
- Resilience, a cheerful and positive attitude, and respect for others
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior healthcare experience a must
- Bonus skills: illustration, photography, retouching, filmmaking, editorial, HTML.

NYC Salary range: $150,000 - $195,000
