Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/relevant technical field, or 8+ years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 6+ years of experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience in silicon competitive analysis within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, technologies and device physics.
  • Understanding of process technology roadmap, challenges and opportunities.
  • Understanding of Stdcell architecture and layouts.
  • Experience with using benchmarking tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze the technical specifications, performance metrics, and market positioning of competitor silicon technologies and products.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on competing silicon technologies and manufacturing processes, including emerging trends in device and interconnect technologies, advanced memories, and state-of-the-art products (CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, and other semiconductor components).
  • Analyze and evaluate the technical specifications, performance benchmarks, and power efficiency of competitor silicon manufacturing technologies and electronic products.
  • Follow technical papers, symposiums, product breakdowns and deeply understand the emerging trends in the ecosystem to create actionable competitor and market insights.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing competitive analysis and insights to regularly update teams on competitors’ movements, innovations, market disruptions and technology roadmap.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of information and regularly update stakeholders on relevant market developments.
  • Provide strategic inputs to influence the roadmap for next-generation process technology and product design, and guide executive decision-making.
  • Drive cross-company collaboration to assist in the formulation of strategies to enhance the organization’s competitive position.
  • Work closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to integrate competitive insights into product roadmaps and marketing strategies.
  • Partner with the legal team to ensure compliance with intellectual property regulations.
