Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience supporting mechanical engineering equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of building code requirements related to HVAC equipment and mechanical engineering, including equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and evaluation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license for operating a motor vehicle at Dyess Air Force Base.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies, designs, and construction projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work on construction sites, including walking across varied terrain, climbing ladders, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must work atypical hours during site visits when requested by the client or role demands.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, program, and execute Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization projects.
  • Perform administrative services for unscheduled work, sustainment work, corrective maintenance, and enhancement work.
  • Support minor repair work, building automation or controls, and material requisitioning.
  • Maintain processes and documentation.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities and correspondence required by the Performance Work Statement.
  • Provide quality assurance services by inspecting construction work and interacting with contractors and contractor representatives.
  • Provide transportation and supervision of contractor personnel supporting the CES Engineering Flight at Dyess Air Force Base.
  • Travel periodically to project sites, including renovation and active construction locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Vocational or post-high-school education, such as an associate or bachelor's degree, in building systems maintenance, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering field.
