Requirements
  • Must possess work authorization in the United States (United States Citizens or Green Card).
  • BS degree or 3-7 years equivalent experience.
  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree in a science or closely related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
Responsibilities
  • Assures the quality of manufactured products and processes per standard operating processes and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Provide technical input to facilitate Corrective and Preventive Actions investigations. Completes assigned daily activities; workload; scheduling; and constraints independently. Provides technical expertise to complex projects and investigations as required. Strives to become the technical expert within the work area.
  • Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Maintain knowledge of the CAPA System.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within the team and with internal stakeholders as guided by the manager. Participates in Cross Functional Teams.
  • Maintain; review and update relevant documents and records.
  • Provide input into the annual departmental budget.
  • Work on process improvement activities within own work area; monitor performance of manufacturing processes and implement required improvement activities; propose and implement approved process improvements; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and update relevant computer applications.
  • Support manufacturing and testing operations as required; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices; demonstrate knowledge of technical processes/procedures within area of responsibility; stay updated on industry standards; participate in trainings on the Electronic Training Management System; comply with EHS laws and Abbott Quality System requirements.
  • Share quality knowledge; liaise with colleagues within the team.
  • Train others in multiple key processes within the work area; assist with audits; complete required trainings on the Electronic Training Management System; utilize quality experience to train others.
  • Complete quality testing as appropriate for products per procedures and review data to determine conformance with specifications.
  • Ensure that the plant Environmental Monitoring program is executed per procedures and schedule; track and trend environmental data; provide information for tracking and trending as required.
  • Incoming Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of incoming items per standard requirements; sample and file storage.
  • Change Control Technical Specialist: Initiates site Change Plan and Document Change Request activities for changes identified through product or process improvements, transfer activities, or identified compliance issues; coordinate and manage Change Plan and Document Change Requests through to closure; work with Document/Process owners to identify and organize cross-functional teams; complete required document authoring and approval tasks for QSR and DMR documents; stay up to date with training via ETMS; attend process community meetings.
  • Ownership: Recognized as a lead technician for one or two key processes within the work area.
  • Troubleshoot issues, apply problem solving skills, and take appropriate actions to resolve; perform activities as assigned by Team Leader/Manager; support relevant activities; undertake developmental opportunities to become the lead in Testing.
