We are looking for a Chief Scientific Officer. In this role, you will lead the VP of Clinical Development and oversee an org of General Managers that lead therapeutic programs. You will be responsible for setting and executing Vial’s therapeutics development strategy. You will report directly to the CEO, engage closely with the executive team and have significant autonomy.

- Lead key strategic and operational tasks for Vial including clinical development, strategy and advise clinical operations

- Manage therapeutic programs end-to-end projects from ideation through approval

- 7+ years of experience in Clinical Development or Program Management roles

- Entrepreneurial mindset, experience in startup environment preferred a plus

- Deeply analytical, systems thinker, focused on finding scalable solutions

The annual base salary is $349,000 - $396,000, based on a local (San Francisco) hire. Final offer amount will depend on education, skills, experience, and location.
