Requirements
  • A Juris Doctor degree and an active license or eligibility to practice law in Illinois or Tennessee are required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a corporate law department or a business or transactional practice group at a law firm is required.
  • Experience with a variety of commercial contracts, including management, operating, technology, and procurement agreements, is required.
  • The ability to adopt and champion artificial intelligence tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes is required.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines is required.
  • Strong transactional and legal writing skills are required.
  • Strong practical decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment is required.
  • The ability to quickly identify and grasp complex legal issues and communicate key issues clearly and concisely to colleagues and business partners is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Counsel in providing comprehensive legal support to one or more business regions or practice groups.
  • Support the Senior Counsel in acting as a proactive business partner by assisting stakeholders with contract-related issues, compliance matters, and risk assessments.
  • Work closely with business teams and the Senior Counsel to help develop and execute legal strategies that protect and advance the company's operations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's technology business and the broader urban mobility industry.
  • Draft, review, and support the negotiation of commercial contracts, including software as a service agreements, client agreements, procurement agreements, information technology agreements, government contracts, commercial leasing agreements, and consulting agreements.
  • Adopt and champion the use of artificial intelligence tools to drive efficiencies and reduce redundant tasks across the legal team's workflows.
  • Support the coordination of business disputes and assist in managing outside counsel as needed.
  • Provide support to the Senior Counsel and other attorneys within the department.

Fresno Yosemite becomes largest California airport to offer contactless parking with Metropolis

Fresno Yosemite International Airport has partnered with Metropolis to introduce contactless parking across all its lots, launching on 14 July. Travellers can register via app or QR code, enabling automatic vehicle recognition and payment without tickets or kiosks. The partnership builds on an existing relationship, as SP+, a Metropolis company, has operated FAT's parking for decades. The new system follows FAT's record 2.7 million passengers in 2025 and completion of FATforward, its largest modernisation project. FAT becomes California's largest airport to offer the technology. Metropolis operates at approximately 75 US airports and recently launched at Sonoma County Airport. Cash payments remain available through designated lanes.

Metropolis expands AeroParker to 6 US airports and integrates Joby baggage services

Metropolis has expanded its aviation services across key US airports, rolling out its AeroParker reservations platform at six regional airports since December 2025, including Salt Lake City International, New Orleans International, and Milwaukee Mitchell International. The company now operates at approximately 75 airports and has launched seamless drive-in, drive-out technology at 10 locations. The parking operator has deployed remote check-in at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and is launching curbside concierge services at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
