Requirements
  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Science, or in a job related field of study
  • Two (2) years of experience, including one (1) year of experience in behavioral health assessment and treatment
  • Independently licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Knowledge of behavioral health disorders, treatments, and interventions
  • Knowledge of standard software applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, with good driving record and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
  • Monitors and documents patient behavior to assess emotional and mental health status
  • Develops and implements behavioral treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers and community resources to facilitate referrals for specialized treatment as necessary
  • Provides guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers on behavioral health issues, treatment options, and community resources
  • Maintains accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Performs data entry and assists in preparing grant reports
  • Participates in team meetings and trainings as required
  • Develops educational materials (e.g., handouts, brochures, infographics) on behavioral health topics for patients, families, and the community
  • Performs receptionist duties as required
