Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of security or Dock Master experience is required.
  • The candidate must be a certified security officer in Washington, D.C., Virginia, or Maryland.
  • At least one year of customer-service experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license without major violations is required.
  • The candidate must be flexible to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • The candidate must hold CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
  • The candidate must have strong oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
  • The candidate must be able to establish strong working relationships in a team setting.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must be self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate must be able to sit, stand, and walk; make repetitive motions; push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds; manipulate or control tools or objects; and work indoors and outdoors under varying noise conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the arrival and departure of moving trucks.
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including scheduling and monitoring on-site movers.
  • Protect doors and floors during deliveries and moves.
  • Coordinate pickups and removal of bulk material items from loading dock and trash room areas.
  • Report incidents or accidents to the property manager as needed.
  • Complete daily inspections and provide inspection reports to the manager.
  • Manage routine cleaning schedules performed by vendors.
  • Assist with tasks assigned by the property manager or engineering and operations teams.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns consistently with established company guidelines.
  • Ensure security officers are properly licensed in the required state and assist with the licensing process when needed.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations specific to the property.
  • Maintain equipment through regular maintenance and preventative care.
