  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
  • 2 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
  • or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology with 6 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD and Revit knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Ability to travel 5-10%
  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM with overtime potentially required
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers.
  • Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion, including collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to develop equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, cable routing, communications systems design, grounding design, equipment selection, and equipment specifications.
  • Modify and review electrical drawings.
  • Perform (minimum be familiar with) cable ampacity and trench design using software packages like CYMCAP, ETAP, or AmpCalc.
  • Model (minimum be familiar with) grounding system design using software package WinIGS.
  • Design electrical components for project needs and requirements as set forth by the project managers.
  • Apply strong knowledge of the National Electric Code used in electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
  • Research and compile related data as required for each project.
  • Coordinate with local authority having jurisdictions on permitting requirements.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations in support of project execution.
  • Act as a field engineer on construction sites.
  • Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
